Paper Easter Basket
What should I do for my easter topic in Nursery?
Some of the children in my nursery class do not celebrate Easter, so what activities should i do. I was going to have the children decorate paper eggs and get them to put them in a bunnies basket. Should i continue with this idea or should i just make a spring time snap game instead?
You should be aware of the different religions the children may have been brought up in. If you have any doubts have a quiet chat with their parents to see if it's acceptable for them to join in the activities. Provided you try to avoid symbols such as crosses and palm trees it should be fine.
Easter eggs and bunnies would be fine, and getting them to make their own little Baskets that can be filled with chocolate eggs and other sweets would be a good idea. Even getting someone to dress up like the easter bunny while the children play would be fun. Just be sure to check if any of the children have any allergies before you give them sweets first, any also make sure with their parents.
