Parents how would you handle this?
I've got my brother's twin daughters for a week. They're two. And tomorrow's Easter. No problem, I had already made them up Baskets anyway and we'll color eggs this afternoon. I hope they enjoy that.
The problem is church tomorrow. My husband's church is doing egg hunts and prizes and goodie bags what have you for the kids. I don't go to church. So the problem would be him going with three small children under three. I've thought of asking his brothers to go along but I know that wouldn't be their place to go. So would you go too, force him to go with three small kids, or keep them home? Or anything other ideas? I know they would want to go but I don't feel comfortable there.
There are several options for you. You could keep them home for the mass, and then meet up with him for the kids to do the egg hunt, or you could go for the whole thing, or you could keep them home. If you keep them home, you could have your own easter egg hunt in your house or yard. I don't think you should ask his brothers to go because there are other options and you're right, it is not their place to go. P. S.- It's very nice of you to be watching them for your brother and to be doing all of that fun stuff for easter!
