Monthly community service projects?
For a school group, we want to do one or two community service projects each month. Like in March, we could do the March of Dimes. in April, we could donate Easter Baskets to the childrens' hospital, raise money to donate for Christmas, etc. etc.
Any ideas? Just list as many as you can think of and what month it would work best in. ty!
August/September: school supplies collections for students
May: Memorial Day - support the military troops in a variety of ways. I'll include some links with ideas for you. Or May Day baskets for children's hospital and other places
February: Valentines for Vets - make Valentine cards and then send them to a Veteran's home - be sure to contact the home first to make sure they want the cards and will hand them out. Or find local veterans to send them to. Or even just give Valentine cards to nursing homes.
December: Operation Christmas child
November: collect food to donate to a food pantry so people can have a Thanksgiving and/or Christmas meal
October: I think UNICEF still does their Trick or Treat for UNICEF - you go around with collection cans and ask people to donate money to send to UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund)
