Please help..My cat is peeing all over!!!?

I have a 3 year old, neutured, declawed male cat. When we first got him, he had some problems peeing in laundry Baskets, on our couch, on our bed...yuck, we got him neutured and he stopped peeing in those places. Everything was great for a while, and then we had our son. The cat peed in his crib twice, peed in his bathtub twice, peed on our couch twice, and now i found it in the laundry basket! I cant take it anymore, i can't have this pee around my baby and it is gross. What should I do? I don't want to give him away, but if this doesn't stop I will have to. Please help. I am desperate.

Your cat may have a urinary tract infection (UTI). Majority of the time, when cats pee in weird places, it is not because of rebeliousness or "acting out", but because there is something medically wrong. UTI is caused by ingredients (magnesium and ash) in low quality cat foods, which they don't really need, and some cats are very sensitive to this. The cat's system responds by creating uric acid crystals in the urine, which scratch and irritate the lining of the bladder and uretra. This causes pain, and the cat's system then begins creating sludge-like substance that starts to build up in the urethra. If the urethra becomes completely blocked, it will kill the cat very quickly. UTI's are more common in male cats than females.

I would advise that you take your cat to the vet ASAP to see if he has a UTI. If he does, the vet can flush out his system and make it clean again. They may try to sell you some expensive "prescription diet" food that is supposed to prevent UTI. IT's not necessary to buy that expensive stuff from the vet unless you want to. If you go to the pet store or feed store and read the ingredients/content labels on the cat food bags, you can find some that don't have magnesium and ash in them at all, and any food of that sort will be fine. Some foods even say on the package that they are designed for urinary tract health. Despite expensive prices and fancy packaging of "gourmet foods", I still see plenty of them that contain magnesium and/or ash. Don't be fooled by an expensive price or fancy bag. Read the ingredients, and pick a food without harmful ash and magnesium.

You also need to thoroughly clean any places the cat has peed. Just because you can't smell the pee anymore doesn't mean he cant. Remember, their noses are far more powerful than ours. If they smell even the slightest bit of urine left over from where they peed before, they will think it's OK to keep peeing there in the future. To kill cat pee smells for good, thoroughly soak the urine spot with a combination of plain white vinegar and club soda water. If you don't have soda water, that's OK, the vinegar will work fine on it's own. If the spot is on a carpet, cover the vinegar with layers of newspapers or paper towels, and place something heavy on top of the papers, such as a stack of books. Be sure to protect your books from the moisture with a plastic bag. If the pee is on an upright spot, such as a wall, from the cat spraying, then you can use a spray bottle to spray the vinegar on the area. Leave everything on there and let the vinegar dry on the spot. The acid pH of the vinegar will counterbalance the alkaline pH of the urine, thus killing the smell for good, and it should prevent kitty from peeing there again. Vinegar stinks a bit, but it's not as bad as cat pee smell! This really works good, I have used this trick for years. They also sell special cleaners for this in pet stores, the most common one is called Nature's Miracle. I have never tried it because the vinegar trick works great, and you can find a gallon of vinegar for not much money at all.

Good luck, I hope this helps =^.^=

Spa gift baskets – Why Custom Gift Baskets Make a Great Gift

After a long day of work, commuting, driving kids to and from events and appointments, running errands, and everything else that needs to be done before the day's end, when is there time for you? With today's lifestyle, there is little time to relax and spend time just relaxing in a bathtub full of soothing, scented bubbles.  Worse yet, when do you squeeze in time to get to the spa?

It is because of this type of lifestyle that makes giving someone you care about a spa gift basket.  With limited time away from home plus the high cost of joining a spa, bringing the spa home with a spa gift basket is the next best thing.  There are so many unique custom gift baskets to choose from containing all the spa items needed for the person on the go.  The internet has made looking for the perfect gift basket easy to find with so many choices to pick from.  Here are a few questions to consider when searching for the perfect spa gift basket:

Q. What is the most important product needed that would be most enjoyable in a gift of ultimate     relaxation?

A.  For a relaxing spa experience, a soft scented bubble bath is the first consideration.  A quiet bubble bath is a perfect relaxation and stress relieving time.

Q.  What scent should be considered?

A.  With hundreds of scented and aromatherapy products to choose, from Apple to Zen, consider a scent specific to relaxation.  Lavender, sage, frankincense and sandalwood are some of the scents considered to be a relaxing scent. Aromatherapy uses essential plant oils and other aromatic compounds to improve or alter one's mood or health.

Q.  What other scented products would enhance the after bath experience?

A.  Scented candles fill the room with the same relaxation aroma and enhance the relaxation atmosphere.  Scented lotion, linen spray, and aroma pillows also keep the scent from the bath fresh long after the bath.

 Q.  What other accessories complete the spa gift basket?

A.  An inflatable bath pillow to rest a stressed back on, eye mask to relieve sore and tired eyes , soft bath brush or massaging brush to massage sore muscles, an organza mesh sponge for exfoliating, relaxation CD to clear your mind, or a plush robe to snuggle in after a totally relaxing bath.

Q.  What other scented bath products are there besides bubbles?

A.  For those who prefer something other than bubble bath, there are many other scented products to consider.  Bath oils help to soften and nourish the skin and come in many forms from liquid to shaped beads, rose petals, confetti and bath caviar.  Bath salts are a wonderful way to hydrate and relax the body, and come in many different scents.  Bath bombs fizz for several minutes, and then add scent and color to the bathwater.

The perfect end to a long stressful day is to put on a relaxation CD, light a few scented candles, hang the "do not disturb" sign, and settle into a warm, aroma filled bubble bath, and soak away the day's pressure.  When choosing a spa gift basket, consider what will make the perfect relaxation gift, from the bath time, to long after the bath time has ended.  Also make sure the gift will be enjoyed long after the gift is received.
